Central
Central is the financial and administrative centre of Hong Kong, originally called Victoria and was one of the district in the Victoria City. The English name Central became prevailing after the Island Line of the MTR metro system was built, and the connected stations of Pedder and Chater renamed as "Central".
Central is still the headquarters of the Hongs - Hong Kong's original trading conglomerates, big business, local and international banks and all related services. Central has been linked to Kowloon by the Star Ferry for over a hundred years, and its piers also service Macau and Hong Kong's outlying islands.
Shopping in Central
Central is full of bursting with the world's top luxury brands. This is the place to find outlets of Prada, Tiffany, Burberry etc. There are some big shopping malls in Central.
