Hong Kong Deep Water Bay
One of most significant and picturesque places of Hong Kong is the Deep Water Bay. The location of the bay is considered to be sandwiched between the Repulse Bay and Shouson Hill. It is situated on the Southern shore of the island of Hong Kong. The Deep water bay is bounded by Violet Hill, Middle Island, Brick Hill, and Shouson Hill. Hong Kong Deep Water Bay beach is yet another beautiful bay beach situated beneath the Violet hill. The Deep water bay could be reached by traveling along the road connecting both Wong Chuk Hang and Repulse Bay. The time taken to reach here would be around twenty minutes.
The bay is known to be as one of the most splendid and tourist loving beach of the place. It lies next to Hong Kong Golf Club's Annexure. It is not famous among the travelers or even among the locals as the Repulse Bay. But it is possible to admire the sea view either by sitting on the seashore or by exercising and jogging over as there is a pathway built which connects both the beaches. This pathway is popularly known as Seaview Promenade and is very common among those who love to exercise, jog, or walk along the seashore.
Under the Department of Leisure and Culture Service Department, you are given various facilities such as the barbecue pit, changing room, refreshment kiosk and also the shower amenities. Getting into the bay is not that difficult as you can get to the place by taking the buses which name No.6, 6A or 260 from the Central HK's Star Ferry Pier or even from the Central's Exchange Square.
Hong Kong Deep Water Bay is not a lonely place as there are tall buildings which are townhouse developments, luxury homes most of them have wonderful seaside view making the feeling realistic. Most of the buildings are to have a wonderful view over the Deep Water Bay Beach and also the nine-hole Deep Water Bay Golf Club.
Another adjacent bay to Deep water bay is the Repulse Bay which is pretty popular than the latter and is a residential area. To reach here it takes just twenty minutes during the non peak hours and it takes just thirty five to forty minutes during the peak hours. The buildings are much more than that present in the Deep water bay and is confined to the families and children. The townhouses are present facing the bay mesmerizing in its spectacular wonder.
The restaurant is one of which is termed to be as the best of all present at the Deep water bay. The latest one is known as Uno Beach Café which is redeeming its popularity these days. The food served here are the casual tapas and snacks based on the alfresco setting and is brought right on the beach. The experience is magnificent as it is away from the normal dining outs.
Hiking, jogging, walking, golfing are all some of the sports which could be practiced at the bay. It is really refreshing and amazing to work at nature's hands.
