Hong Kong Tai Tam Country Park

One of the natural beauties of Hong Kong is known as Tai Tam Country Park. While Hong Kong is the perfect place to spend your holiday, an unforgetable experience, another plus is also to see the greenery and the natural beauty in and around Hong Kong. But this is not known by all; a fact is that almost ninety percent of Hong Kong is green. There are lot more small villages and greenery to be seen by you.

Tai Tam Country Park is one among the country parks present in the island and is also known to be as the biggest. It is situation in the Eastern Corner of Hong Kong. It was open to the public in the year 1977 and the total area occupied consists of around 1,315 hectares. It is considered to occupy around one fifth of the total area of the island of Hong Kong.

The name was derived from the Cantonese word Tai Tam which means big pools and the word suggests about the bigger reservoirs. You can reach to the entrance by passing along the super expensive houses which are situated on the hill. One of the rarest species could be spotted here but very rarely. If you are lucky then you can see them and they are the Acrossocheilus beijiangensis. Apart from these species you get to different varieties which are rare in the stream. These are rare fishes which are found very rarely.

The reservoir that you get to see at the country park is a really beautiful place to be in with lot of greenery. You can also find colourful pretty fishes and turtles swimming in the reservoir. The scene can make us overwhelmed with joy!

The walk along Tai Tam Country Park introduces to the real nature with wonderful flowers, insects, birds, fishes that you have not come across till now. Tai Tam Country Park is the place where you can get in soon from the city for some warm and comfort feel. For the hike you have to start at Wong Nei Chung Gap along the ridge of the island. The path will take you to the country park which is heavily wooded.

The part of country side is also known to be the undeveloped part of Hong Kong which lies pretty near to the city. It would be pretty surprising to many of them as there would be such a beauty within the busiest city of the island.

It is a common aspect among people that Hong Kong is fully developed country, but the truth is different as most of the part is underdeveloped and to know this fact would be surprising to all.

The beauty of Hong Kong lies in the fact that you can switch from the busy and tall buildings to the greenery or the mystic countryside within minutes ride. You can easily step the place as the total area is very less and you can easily get onto to your favourite landmark within minutes to enjoy the real beauty of nature.
