Buffet food, rooms, view over to Hong Kong Island
Checkin and reception services
We stayed at the Harbour Plaza Hong Kong for what proved a very enjoyable holiday. After some small problems with the reception staff not receiving any booking from Agoda, the rest of the stay was very very pleasant. The hotel, staff and food were excellent. We particularly liked the swimming pool with glass walls on the rooftop.
The rooms were well kept and had nice equipment inside, although we had a morning knock on the door from a laundry person every day, which disturbed us and became a little annoying.
All in all a nice place, but a little expensive I felt.

Excellent view of the harbour. Very modern business hotel. Good sized rooms. Good service. Nice variety of restaurants.
Couldn't find the swimming pool!
Booked the hotel blind through Agoda. Couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Exceptional value for money. Much better than my usuals (Shangri La, Conrad) - not least the location in Kowloon which is an improvement on soulless Central.

Quiet location away from the husste and bussle after a long day.
Great service from staff
Great food
Fantastic roof top pool
Amazing views of hong kong island and the river
Horrible cocktails in whampoa lounge and pool area
Staff knocking on the door at least 5 times a day
Well let me start by saying the is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and I find it hard to believe I will find a hotel that will better it.
One thing I noticed right away (apart from the amazing building itself and marble entry!) was the politeness and efficiency of the staff. As soon as I checked in, I went through my itinerary for the hotel transport I had previously organized. As I checked in one day early, from my flight from Perth, Australia, and was going back to the airport the next day to pick up my girlfriend who was traveling around Europe. We had to make a few adjustments, but I liked how it was all adjusted in front of me there and then and I didn't have to think about for the rest of the trip.
I used the hotels coach to the airport 3 times, and there limousine service once. The limousine was a little misleading, as it was not a stretch limousine as I had thought it would be, but rather a luxurious BMW car. It was still nice and was a surprise for my girlfriend.
I booked us a harbor view room, which was located on the 13th floor. The view was simply amazing, with clear views of the harbor and the skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island. I couldn't stop smiling every time I looked at the view. The room itself was fantastic, with modern furnishing (Apart from the TV) and a great marble bathroom. Their were some issues with the room, some of the lights flickered on and off randomly, the TV would some times change channel at any moment, and the bed side telephone stopped working. We had the phone fitted within a day, their was also a second phone on a table, so having it inoperable for a day was not a hassle. As for the lights and TV trouble, we just had fun with it, "Ohhh that ghost is back" or "I'm changing the TV station with my mind" kinda thing.
With the food we experienced at the hotel, it was very good, we tried private dining for breakfast and dinner a few times and tried the Whampoa Waterfront Restaurant once. All were very expensive, and we
Shopping Tip : Walk around the local area, 100's of shops to grab a few bargains and plenty of 7 elevens to pick up supplies instead of using the hotels items, which are very very expensive.
