Wanchai Hong Kong Street Map
Wan Chai district is renowned for its small shops and markets, as well as fashionable restaurants and bars. The impressive 78-storey Central Plaza stands here (Hong Kong's tallest building) and visitors can view the city from the Sky Lobby on its 46th floor. After 1800 each day, neon lights upon the building’s rooftop change colour every hour to denote the time of evening. Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong Street Map
Considered as Hong Kong's tourist mecca, Tsim Sha Tsui is packed with tourist hotels, shops and markets. Nathan Road is a smart and fashionable shopping street, considered the equivalent of Fifth Avenue or the Champs Elyses. Near to the star ferry pier stands the old Clock Tower – the remaining piece from the Kowloon-Canton railway station that was re-located to Hung Hom in 1975. Worth visiting are the Hong Kong Museum of Art, which has exhibitions of jade, ceramic and calligraphy, and the Hong Kong Space Museum, with a Space Theatre. Kowloon Park features a Sculpture Walk with local and international exhibits, as well as Chinese and ornamental gardens.
Tsim Sha Tsui East/Hung Hom -
Hong Kong Street Map
an area east of Chatham Road South reclaimed from Hung Hom Bay in the 1970s. Many restaurants, office buildings and hotels are located in the area. The Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade links the area with the Hong Kong Cultural Centre near the Clock Tower. In 2004, the East Rail Line returned to Tsim Sha Tsui. East Tsim Sha Tsui Station is an interchange station with Tsim Sha Tsui station on the Tsuen Wan Line. Unlike other East Rail Line stations, it is underground near Blackhead Point. An extensive tunnel system was built for pedestrians to access the most popular destinations in Tsim Sha Tsui. There is currently massive ground-level works taking place throughout several roads in the area, so the best way to access destinations is through the underground walkway.
Mongkok and Kowloon City - Hong Kong Street Map
an area in the Yau Tsim Mong District on Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong, China. Before a 1994 merge, Mong Kok was part of the Mong Kok District. The name in Chinese means "flourishing/busy corner". Recent road works revealed some potteries as old as Jin Dynasty (265-420), indicating that there might be settlements that early. The district is characterized by a mixture of old and new multi-story buildings, with shops and restaurants at street level and commercial or residential units above. Major industries in Mong Kok are retail, restaurants (including fast food) and entertainment.
