Hong Kong Horse Racing

Happy Valley Racecourse
Happy Valley has been echoing with the thud of hooves upon turf since the 1840s regular punters arrive in droves but you don't need to be a expert on racing form to enjoy yourself. Bets are cheap. Races take place once a week usually on Wednesday evenings.
Sha Tin Racecourse
People of Hong Kong love their horses. Opened in 1978 to reduce the pressure on Happy Valley the Sha Tin Racecourse can accommodate more than 80,000 prospective punters. It has its own KCR station, opens on race days, Wednesdays and weekends during racing season.
Hong Kong Racing Museum
This museum overlooking the racecourse looks at the long history of horse racing in the country and the chartable activities carried out by the Jockey Club. One exhibit is the skeleton of the three-time champion horse 'Silver Lining' it is open 10:00-17:00 except on racing days when it closes early at 12:30 closed on Mondays.
