Travelling the Ngong Ping 360 begins with a 25 minute cable car ride from Tung Chung to a culturally themed village high atop a mountain plateau on Lantau Island. Upon arriving at the Ngong Ping Village you and your family can enjoy three great attractions and a choice of shops and eateries, all on this picturesque 1.5-hectare site.

The Walking with Buddha multimedia facility takes you through the life of Siddhartha Gautama - the man who became Buddha - and his path to enlightenment. Its an immersive, multimedia attraction travel through the various stages of Siddhartha's life, including his transition from being a Prince at Court, his reaching supreme awareness and finally becoming Buddha. Be "enlightened" with Buddha's teachings through a variety of themed scenes and activities.
The Monkey's Tale Theatre presents a computer generated animation, combined with special effects and surround sound inspired by the famous Buddhist Jataka stories. The seting is a magical courtyard with branches of a majestic Bodhi Tree. Intersting and good for all ages.
Monkey's Tale Theatre entrance is framed by traditional, decorative columns which are illustrated with painted monkey murals. Grab a seat in front of the panoramic film screen which is skilfully blended into a wall of stone carvings. Enjoy the antics of the three monkey friends, as they travel on a journey of greed, gluttony and friendship
Check out the Ngong Ping Tea House which provides regular demonstrations of traditional Chinese tea ceremonies, as well as offering a selection of fine teas and cakes. Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, this will be the world's first interactive, multimedia teahouse. This unique attraction features professional Chinese tea masters who conduct the tea ceremonies and explain the ancient history of tea and its development over the ages.
A five minutes walk from Ngong Ping Village will find yourself inside the Po Lin Monastery and looking up the world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Big Buddha statue.
Touring Ngong Ping 360 can be done in a day tour, booked in components, or packaged with other tourist operators. You can also explore other parts of Lantau Island, including the famous stilt houses of Tai O Village, the Hong Kong Disneyland and Silvermine Bay or Mui Wo where you can take the ferry back to Central.
